I’ll be seeking out students to share the love of Christ with them and provide them with the support and tools to do the same for others! How did you become Catholic?
I was born and raised Catholic, but had an encounter with Jesus my freshman year of high school, which is when I truly accepted Him into my heart.

Favorite saint? Saint quote?
One of my favorite Saints is Maximillian Kolbe. My favorite quote from him is “If angels could be jealous of men, they would be so for one reason: Holy Communion.”

Let’s say you become a saint. What would you want to be the patron of?
If I were a saint, I’d want to be patron of coffee drinkers.

Your favorite part about being Catholic?
My favorite part of being Catholic is that we have all the early church fathers, doctors of the church, and the most theologians of any religion. It’s a faith that eases all worries and answers all questions.

Someday when you get time for hobbies, what will they be?
I would love to ski more often and cook more.

Why are you excited about this school year in Duluth?
I’m excited to spend time with the guys in my Bible study and play a part in students’ conversion process

I will be leading Bible studies and discipleship meetings with students as well as organizing fun events around campus and the Newman Center!

My favorite Saint is St. Martin of Tours who is my confirmation saint! He is the patron of soldiers, the poor, and tailors because of the famous story of him cutting his cloak in half for a poor man on the side of the road.

My favorite part of being Catholic is living with the peace and joy of being in relationship with Christ and being able to go pretty much anywhere in the world and still being able to go to Mass!

Haha my hobbies are hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and playing pickleball and basketball.

I am excited to be able to meet students this year and get to know the area of Duluth better!

If I was forced to binge watch any show I would choose to watch Blue Bloods, which is a throwback for me but one of my favorites!

If I am driving in the car and looking for a song to jam out to, I don’t think there is a more perfect song than “Life is a Highway” by Rascal Flatts to put on!

Furthest you’ve ever traveled from home?
The furthest that I have traveled from home is to the Philippines where I have been twice for training with the military.

What’s the most adventurous thing you have ever eaten?
I have eaten some crazy stuff in my travels. One of the most adventurous things I ate was a Pilipino delicacy called “Balut”. It is a steamed duck egg with a half-grown baby duck inside. I would tell you to look up a picture but make sure you have a strong stomach!

If you could be the lead in any movie what movie would it be?
I would choose to be the lead in Gladiator because it is one of my favorite movies, and getting to learn how to sword fight would be pretty awesome.

I encountered Jesus in His sacraments at a middle school camp ,and He worked enormously in the small “yesses” I gave him.

St. John Paul the Great is my favorite saint and my patron! At a World Youth gathering he appeared on his balcony late at night and boldly proclaimed to all the young people in attendance, “You must go sleep!”

Either average cyclists or just being a little too silly.

Your favorite part about being Catholic?
Nothing beats the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The ability to praise God in this most holy event daily is one of the greatest joys I have as a Catholic. The beauty, peace, and assurance of this great sacrifice is not comparable to anything outside of Heaven.

Cycling, making coffee, gardening, reading.
