Begin amidst the serenity of Assisi where you will learn about St. Francis and Blessed Carlos Acutis. Then, pilgrimage to the heart of Rome to enjoy all that this beautiful city has to offer.  Attend a Papal Audience, receiving blessings from the Holy Father himself. Experience the beauty of the Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums, where masterpieces of art and faith converge. Finally, partake in the solemn act of walking through the Holy Doors during this Jubilee Year. You will have the opportunity to hear Father Mike speak on inspirational and spiritual topics throughout the week!

Itinerary

Day 1: Thursday, March 6 – Depart USA

Depart the USA on overnight flights to Rome, Italy.

Day 2: Friday, March 7 – Rome | Assisi

Upon arrival in Rome, meet your local Italian tour manager who will be with you throughout the pilgrimage. Board your luxury motor coach and transfer to Assisi for check-in. Celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. See the famous Porziuncola, origin site of the Franciscan order. Gather for a group welcome dinner before your overnight in Assisi.

Day 3: Saturday, March 8 – Assisi

Begin the day with Mass at the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. Enjoy guided visits of the Basilica and the Church of St. Clare. Time permitting, visit the tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis, a millennial Saint. Overnight in Assisi.

Day 4: Sunday, March 9 – Assisi

Celebrate Mass followed by a speaking engagement. Enjoy leisure time on your own to experience all the charm that the local shops, cafes and restaurants have to offer. Overnight in Assisi.

Day 5: Monday, March 10 –  Rome| Piazzas and Pizzas

After your morning hotel check-out, depart for Rome. Upon arrival, enjoy a walking tour of the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Santa Maria Sopra Minerva and Piazza Navona. Celebrate Mass and then experience an authentic pizza-making class and dinner. Overnight in Rome.

Day 6: Tuesday, March 11 – St. Peter’s Basilica | Ancient Rome Tour

Arise to celebrate Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica, followed by a tour. Continue with a guided Ancient Rome tour, including the Colosseum, Capitol Hill, and the Roman Forum. The remainder of your day is free to continue exploring the sites. Overnight in Rome.

Day 7: Wednesday, March 12 – Papal Audience | Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel

Depart early to attend the Papal Audience in St. Peter’s Square, followed by a guided tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Lawrence Outside the Walls. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the city. Overnight in Rome.

Day 8: Thursday, March 13 – The Holy Doors

In honor of the Jubilee, visit St. Paul Outside the Walls, St. Mary Major, St. John in Lateran, and the Basilica of the Holy Cross. Celebrate Mass and process through the doors at St. Peter’s Basilica. Enjoy the remainder of the evening on your own to experience local cuisine. Overnight in Rome.

Day 9: Friday, March 14 – Catacombs | Divino Amore | Farewell Dinner

Your day begins with a journey along the Appian Way. Explore the catacombs of San Sebastian and celebrate Mass. Visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Divine Love before enjoying an afternoon at leisure. Gather for a special group farewell dinner. Overnight in Rome.

Day 10: Saturday, March 15 – Depart Rome

Depart for the airport and your return flights home.
