So it’s the first week of classes for my senior year of college, and everything was going great. I had a great time being a RockStar orientation leader for the freshmen Welcome Week, I just got into a class that I was waitlisted for, and I was knocking things off of my to-do list like crazy. It was shaping up to be a great first week. Then I had the first class for my chemical engineering lab. Everything went downhill after that.
Stoked to get on campus for the first time? Here are three lessons that I learned as a freshman, the hard way. Save yourself the pain and headache and learn these same lessons now.
We all know someone close to us that isn’t living their life the way that they should. They may be…
On the Fourth of July, I always bump into somebody from my past. It’s not just the same person, but many who I haven’t had the best relationships with. We never got along during high school, things ended on a sour note, we just lost contact, or there was one argument that absolutely destroyed my relationship with them.

If you are like me, then you have probably grown up listening to popular music. It’s catchy and fun and everyone knows it (and then it gets overplayed and we are furious whenever we hear it until about 3-5 years later, then we love it again). But, if our ears are meant to hear, and we are meant to know God’s love for us through what we hear, then we have to analyze if our ears are fulfilling their purpose.
One of the things in the Bible that seem so commonplace is the presence of angels. I look at my own life and I don’t see angels like they did in the Bible. In fact, I don’t ever think about angels. Every time I stop and think about them, I find myself fascinated by the fact that I have a guardian angel.
Drinking. How do you know if you’ve crossed the line? Where does drinking become sin? Here are my aptly-named thoughts on the question.
