Nathan Miller

Expected Graduation: Fall 2022

Major: Chemical Engineering

What are your hobbies/interests?

I love winning board games (NOT losing), analyzing movies, messing around with friends, curling, and baking!

Why did you choose UMD for college?

I chose to come to UMD because it’s in my hometown and I’m really frugal.

What is your favorite part about being a part of the BulldogCatholic community?

My favorite part of the BulldogCatholic community is that I’m surrounded by people who are pursuing something that actually matters. That’s rare to find these days.

What would you tell a senior in high school who is looking for the right college?

For all the seniors looking for the right college, as much as I want to say, “Come to UMD,” PRAY ABOUT IT! I have seen God work so much in my life through college, so finding the right one is important.

What is the biggest lesson that you have learned while in college?

The biggest lesson I’ve learned in college is that I hold myself back more than anyone else. Being afraid as a new college student, let alone anyone, is simply not worth it. Surrender to God and take the next step with confidence.

Who is your favorite saint and quote from them?

My favorite saint is St. Peter, no question! I feel like I’ve made every boneheaded mistake he did. My favorite quote from him is, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life”.

What is your “go to” activity to do with your crew?

My “go to” activity with my crew is late night board games (did I mention I like games?)

What’s the most useless talent you have?

My most useless talent is being able to stop hiccups on command.

If you could have one song play every time you entered a room what would it be, and why?

If I could have one song play every time I entered a room it would for sure be “Take On Me” by a-ha, just for that sweet, sweet first note. Everyone around me will know something’s about to go down!
