What is your favorite part about being a part of the BulldogCatholic community?
The on campus Newman center has provided the community and I with amazing opportunities to get closer to Jesus. I can pray a holy hour on the days I wake up early, and the chapel is almost always open for the days I sleep in. Jesus is alive in bulldogCatholic and it has been great to grow in faith while creating virtuous friendships.

Why did you choose UMD for college?
Duluth as a city speaks for itself. As for a college, I enjoyed UMD’s tour more than the other college tours I visited and was impressed with the business program.

Why should someone come to a Bulldog Catholic event?
There is fun, great people, and usually food!

What would you tell a high school senior looking for the right college?
It is important to go where you think you will have an enjoyable time while also being able to find success in your future. The next four years are important; however, the next forty years are likely more important.

What is the biggest lesson that you have learned while in college?
I can do it. With a little (or a lot) of help from the Lord, I have managed to do more in college than I thought would be possible. College is a big step which I was originally hesitant to take, but I have found confidence in the Lord and myself which has allowed me to accomplish all I could have hoped for.

Who is your favorite Saint and quote from them?
“Pray as if God will take care of all; act as if all is up to you.” – Saint Ignatius of Loyola.

If you could shrink any animal to puppy-size, what animal would you own?
A puppy sized giraffe would be the perfect pet. My kids could ride it and have a steering wheel!

If you had a pet monkey, what would you name him? Why?
If I had a pet monkey, I would name him Caesar after the hero of the hit trilogy Planet of the Apes. This would be inspiring for my pet monkey, he would be able to achieve great things!
