Major: Psychology
What’s your major and your expected graduation?
I am majoring in Psychology and will graduate in December of 2023.
What are your hobbies/interests?
I love being active outside so I really enjoy camping and hiking. I also love playing soccer, piano, baking, and playing board games with my friends and family!
Why did you choose UMD for college?
I chose UMD for a couple of reasons; it’s a beautiful area, it isn’t too far from my hometown, and I liked the Social Work and Psychology programs that are offered, which were the two majors I was debating between coming into college. (Also, let’s be honest, Father Mike and the Newman center? Definitely a plus!)
What is your favorite part about being a part of the BulldogCatholic community?
My favorite part about being a part of BulldogCatholic is knowing that there is an incredible group of people that also want God to be the center of their lives, who keep me accountable in prayer, and want to walk toward heaven with me.
Why should someone come to a Bulldog Catholic event?
They’re a blast! The BulldogCatholic events are always super fun but also rooted in forming Christ-centered relationships so the connections that are formed with the community become insanely strong.
What would you tell a high school senior looking for the right college?
DON’T STRESS! I was so stressed trying to find the perfect college but you will find friends wherever you go, the Lord will watch over you wherever you go, and you can always transfer if it’s not exactly what you were looking for. It will truly all work out, so don’t stress!
What is the biggest lesson that you have learned while in college?
The biggest lesson I learned in college was to really get out of my comfort zone. I met some of my closest friends when I was willing to put my phone down and engage with those around me.
Who is your favorite Saint and quote from them?
One of my favorite saints is Saint Josephine Bakhita and her quote that says, “I am definitely loved and whatever happens to me, I am awaited by this Love. And so my life is good.”
What’s the most useless talent you have?
I can make a quality duck noise!
What has been your favorite memory in college?
One of my all time favorite memories is when my roommate Sam and I were practicing a talent for the BulldogCatholic talent show that happens at the annual Christmas party. We decided that our talent was going to be whipped cream tossing! You put whipped cream on the back of your hand, smack your arm so the whipped cream goes in the air, and catch it in your mouth. We practiced for a couple weeks before hand and we were not very good, so we lived in a constant state of whipped cream all over our kitchen!
