Major: Exercise Science

What are some of your hobbies and interests?

“I play on the tennis team at UMD, and I like to run, hike, play piano, and eat desserts!”

What is your favorite collegiate meal?

“My favorite college meal is mac n cheese and hot dogs!”

What is your least favorite trend?

“My least favorite trend is La Croix water.”

What do you like about the community at Newman?

“I love how everyone at Newman becomes one giant family! It’s very life-giving to be in a community where everyone is striving to be in a relationship with the Lord because I see these examples and I’m called deeper into holiness. I am able to see what authentic friendship looks like, which allows me to love others in a more radical way!”

Why should other students at UMD come to an event?

“Going to mass, Bible studies and Newman events are great ways to meet others who are striving for the same things you are. They are also reminders that Jesus isn’t just for Sundays- we’re called to be in a relationship with the Lord every day of the week! And it’s much easier to pursue the Lord when you’re in a community!”

What advice would you give Catholic high school seniors who are anxious about college next year?

“Being involved with the Newman Center has made the transition away from home so much easier. I would 10/10 recommend getting involved with a Catholic community on your campus! It helps you to encounter the Lord in a new way and form authentic friendships with others who are also striving for holiness!”
