“It’s so comforting to know that there are other college students striving to do good in school and also striving for heaven at the same time. It is so inspiring! I know now that I accomplished many things because of how this community motivated and prayed for me.”
“All of the Bulldog Catholic events I’ve been to have been a blast. Even if it’s the first one you go to, you feel like you’ve been there for hundreds because of the kindness and hospitality of anyone involved. Also, a bunch of Bulldog Catholic events have free food and what’s there not to love about free food?”
“I cannot think of a single moment when I was at Newman, and I did not feel welcomed. Even when I was there and my immediate friend group wasn’t, there was always someone to talk to because everyone is so friendly and always ready to embrace anyone who walks in.”
“If I were to give advice to a senior in high school, I would tell them not to worry about finding the “perfect” school, but a school where they know they can find a supportive community that shares the same values as them and also challenges them to be the best version of themselves.”
“The biggest lesson that I have learned while in college is that my grades and what I do do not define my worth.”
“My favorite saint is St. Peter, no question! I feel like I’ve made every boneheaded mistake he did. My favorite quote from him is, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life”.”
“My favorite part about being a part of the bulldog catholic community is just how open and welcoming everyone is, it’s makes you feel right at home the second you walk through the doors or even just meet up with someone else from there. I definitely felt all the love when I started coming to things especially since I don’t go to UMD and I Didn’t really know anyone there but I was welcomed so quickly and just felt so at home.”
“College goes by fast. If you live in the past you’re going to miss the best memories right in front of you. I try to live my life with joy each day.”
